Understanding Your Chevy's Warranty: What's Included?

Your 2024 Chevy warranty provides a range of protection against the unlikely event of an issue with the labor or materials that built your car. As your Chevy dealer, we’d like to tell you more about your warranty and the protection it affords you.

From Your Chevy Dealer: What’s Included in Your 2024 Chevy Warranty?

Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty

This is your main warranty, as it protects almost every component in your vehicle against any factory-related issue. In the event of a problem, the affected part or parts will be repaired or replaced by a dealer for free. The only components not covered by this warranty are those included in the other warranties below. This warranty applies for the first three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Your warranty also covers your tires against any defect in workmanship or labor. The warranty doesn’t cover certain situations, for example, routine maintenance, unauthorized alterations, or misuse.

Powertrain Limited Warranty

This warranty applies to the components in three of your vehicle’s most crucial systems, namely: the engine, transmission, and drivetrain. These three systems all work together to move your car. Protected systems include the engine block, oil pump, timing gears, internal lubricated components, and final-drive housings.

Any issue with a component covered by this warranty will be repaired for free, and warranty protection applies for five years or 60,000 miles. The items that are not covered are listed in the warranty booklet, and they include sensors, coolant, and hoses.

Rust-Through Protection

Rust-through is defined as rust that penetrates a piece of sheet or body metal from one side to the other. All body and sheet metal in your Chevy is protected against this form of damage for the first six years or 100,000 miles.

Corrosion Protection

Your Chevy has special protection against any form of corrosion, and this protection is part of the manufacturing process. The body and sheet metal on your car are protected against any corrosion for the first three years or 36,000 miles.

Federal Emissions Control Warranty

Most components in the emissions system are protected by this warranty for two years or 24,000 miles. Certain specialized components, like the engine control unit, transmission control unit, and catalytic converter are protected for eight years or 80,000 miles.

Additional Benefits

You receive several other benefits during your warranty protection. Let’s take a look at two of them.

Roadside Assistance

For the duration of your warranty, you enjoy 24/7/365 roadside assistance. In the event of a problem, trained technicians will arrive and help you with tire changes, jump-starts, and vehicle unlocking.

Courtesy Transportation

If your vehicle requires warranty repairs, you can claim reimbursement for travel-related expenses or alternative transportation for the duration of the repairs.
